Check VRRP state of NE40 and it is initialized:
GigabitEthernet1/0/1 | Virtual Router 1
state : Initialize
Virtual IP : 18.104.22.168
PriorityRun : 95
PriorityConfig : 95
MasterPriority : 0
Preempt : YES Delay Time : 0
Timer : 1
Auth Type : NONE
Track IF : GigabitEthernet1/0/0 Priority reduced : 20
IF State : UP
Chekc port and find:
[NE40]display interface GigabitEthernet 1/0/1
GigabitEthernet1/0/1 current state: up
Line protocol is down ...............................
Hardware is WAN-GigabitEthernet,
Address is 00e0-fc4f-11e0
Description: HUAWEI, Quidway Series, GigabitEthernet1/0/1 Interface
The Maximum Transmit Unit is 1500 bytes, the BandWidth is 1000000 Kbits
Send-frame-type is Ethernet_II, loopback not set
Negotiation disabled, full-duplex, 1000Mbps
Flow control disabled, urpf disabled
This port works as a Router
Statistics last cleared: never
Last 5 minutes input rate 17 bytes/sec, 0 packets/sec
Last 5 minutes output rate 8 bytes/sec, 0 packets/sec
112953 packets input, 9376979 bytes
58464 packets output, 4317228 bytes
Input: 0 shorts, 0 jumbos, 0 giants, 0 pauses
Output: 0 shorts, 0 jumbos, 0 giants
It is found that the protocol is down, so this port has been waiting for sending and VRRP is in initialized state. The protocol is down because the port does not configure IP address.
[NE40]display current-configuration interface GigabitEthernet 1/0/1
vrrp vrid 1 virtual-ip 22.214.171.124
vrrp vrid 1 priority 95
vrrp vrid 1 track interface GigabitEthernet1/0/0 reduced 20
Configure IP address. And then the protocol is up and VRRP changes normal: Master.
Initialized state of VRRP means the port is waiting for sending VRRP packet or Gigabitethernet1/0/1 port has been waiting for sending.
The following things result in initialized state of VRRP:
1. The physical link layer is down.
2. The physical link layer is up and the protocol link layer is down.
