When you use the AR28-xx or AR46-xx with the VRP Version 3.40 Release RT-00XX, you can find some problems with Ethernet interface; when you enable this interface in the Router after some time the equipment losing the communication for this port or if you enable the service associate some sub interface Ethernet with any VLAN ID; it don’t work correctly and you can not enter interface view
Check the physical interface and try to use the interface view to check the configuration. If you can not use the interface view, the Router began to lose the service in these ports, and the packets began to drop.
When you check the different equipment and scripts is necessary to make debugs in the router and you seeing the packet. In this moment you can find the problem in the Ethernet port, because in the Ethernet interface you lose many packets and the interface view are not available; I think the problem is the version in the software, if you use the command display version in the Router and you find the Huawei Versatile Routing Platform Software VRP (R) software, Version 3.4, RELEASE 00XX this version don’t work correctly in the Ethernet interface; the problem is the version have a bug. I change the version in the router for other version in this moment the enable the different service in this port.
The solution in this case is to change the version; for example Huawei Versatile Routing Platform Software VRP (R) software, Version 3.10,RELEASE 0016 or after; in this moment is working and don’t have problems.
1 If you check in the router the script in the router and verify physically the interface; if is necessary you use the interface view and you do some change in the configuration, maybe the other equipment lose the link.
2 Check the compatibility the equipment, the line protocol and verify the status the other equipment.
3. Maybe the problem is the configuration in the equipment; maybe in some interface you don’t active port.
