Some network egress router NE40E device is problematic. NE40E can ping through local interface address , but it cannot ping thorugh opposite interface address. ARP entry displays opposite MAC address can be learnt normally.
Check traffic on the interface with display interface command. There is no increase of receiving and sending packet of g1/0/0, g1/0/1, g1/0/3, g1/0/8 and g1/0/9.
After the board is restarted, it can register. After registration the traffic of g1/0/0, g1/0/1 and g1/0/3 is normal, but g1/0/8 and g1/0/9 have no record of sending and receiving packet.
Capture packet and g1/0/8 and g1/0/9 can receive ARP request packet, but no ARP response packet is sent. These two ports cannot send packet.
According to board analysis, plug fiber on g1/0/8 and g1/0/9 and the port backs pressure to master logic. Generally there is no back pressure. Now it is possible that some ME is problematic.
For 10*GE board, No. 11 ME is responsible for forwarding data of 0-3 port. No. 12 ME is responsible for forwarding data of 4-7 port. No. 13 ME is responsible for forwarding data of 8-9 port. And then it is confirmed that No. 13 ME cannot initialize, it means No. 13 ME is destroyed.
For 10x1GE boards, three MEs can send the packet and port allocationis as follows:
