Topology: BAS device uplinks through two NE5000Es. OSPF is enabled among three NE5000Es. Configure static route pointing to BAS on NE5000E-2 and NE5000E-3. Import static route in OSPF. The cost of NE5000E-1, NE5000E-2 and NE5000E-3 is equal. The topology is as follows:
Phenomenon: After the configuration is finished, there are no two equal-cost routes to NE5000E-2 and NE5000E-3 as planned on NE5000E-1. On NE5000E-1 the route of BAS network segment points to NE5000E-3.
Check OSPF LSDB and there are two routes to LSDB of BAS network segment on NE5000E-1. Adv rtr are NE5000E-2 and NE5000E-3 respectively. Adv rtr is LSDB Forwarding Address of NE5000E-3 and is 0.0.0.0. Adv rtr is LSDB Forwarding Address of NE5000E-2 and is next-hop interface address.
Interconnected interface address of NE5000-3 and BAS is distributed by network in OSPF. NE5000E-1 creates two equal-cost routes to NE5000E-2 and NE5000E-3 and load balance is realized.
If it is on Ethernet not set as silent interface, OSPF imports one route that is included in designated command of network, the forwarding address is not 0.0.0.0 but next-hop address.
Interconnected interface address of NE5000-2 and BAS is distributed by network in OSPF configuration. Interconnected interface address of NE5000-3 and BAS is not distributed by the network. The route of NE5000-3 is first chosen.
