this case happend when the user is using H.P. O.V. and Huawei routers VRP 3.4
When the user is using H.P. O.V. some times the status of some the interface is down (red color), and some other is in normal status.
usually the interface that was used to create the element is alwys green (up).
some intefaces are red when we made double click over the device and some other are in green color.
red color means down status
gree color means up status
we have to make some ping test fron H.P. O.V. to the interfaces are down.
if the inteface does not anser the ping we have to add the route in to the defaulr router or in the routing table inside the H.P. O.V. server.
after add the routes of the interfaces will be greed after the next refresh.
when the H.P. O.V. create an element (huawei router) the router uses one ip address to match the internal information, but if the router has other interfaces and ip address the H.P.O.V. will use the a kind of ping to stablish the status of that interface not only SNMP, so if there is a interface in red, the possible cause can be:
a) the interface is down, there is not cable conected or link down.
b) the ip address is unreachble from NMS-
a ping test to all teh interfaces to check the status of the interfaces on the router from H.P. O.V. server is very useful.
