Publication Date:  2019-07-04 Views:  226 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

This Phenomenon happen when interconnection our Metro1000 with N company STM-1 port Transmission equipment to become an SNCP ring. so we normally will retrieved clock source from N company STM-1 port. When doing testing and
commissioning, we retrieved intermittent alarm signal (LSS) from our test equipment (ANT-5). So we asking the customers to provide us a better clock source instead of clock source from N company STM-1 port. But unfortunately the customers'
station doesn't have any other clock source port for us any more.

Alarm Information

LSS = Lost of Sequence Synchronization
Intermittent alarm, which will only happen when running for few hours and it happen only once a is very difficult to trace this kind of alarm signal.

Handling Process

Since there are no any other clock source available in that station. So we decided to get the clock source from our own OSN2500 which located in other
 transmission room. Problem solved.

Root Cause

Base on experience, this type of alarm (LSS) normally cause by Clock source not in sequence or TX/RX power in abnormal range.

For my case, i still able to retrieve clock source from our own equipments. But if no clock source and don't have any other transmission equipments then please
run on internal clock first and at the same time, please request a better clock source.
