We use NE20 as LNS and MA5200G as LAC in L2TP connection
when we use command “test L2Tp tunnel "in MA5200G
L2tp tunnel connection is succeed
But when we use L2TP user to connect to L2TP tunnel, the connection isn't established
topology: L2TP user-----LAC (MA5200G)------LNS (NE20)
warning message says that username and password not valid in L2TP user PC
1- Check that password and username of L2TP user in LAC and LNS are same.
2-configure domain in NE20 under AAA view has same name of the domain in MA5200G.
then configure domain its name is test (the domain name in MA52ooG is test also)
[LNS] domain test
[LNS] authentication-scheme test
3-configure IP address under virtual template interface (used by LNS) view in LNS within range Of configured IP Pool in LNS.
[LNS] interface virtual-template 1
[LNS-Virtual-Template1] mtu 1450
[LNS-Virtual-Template1] ppp authentication-mode chap
[LNS-Virtual-Template1] ip address 10.1.1.1 255.255.255.0
ip address10.1.1.1 is selected because the configured ip pool on LNS
as follow (ip pool 10.1.1.2 10.1.1.254)
after that the end user succed to login to L2TP tunnel using PPPOE packet.
When we capture the L2tP and PPP packet using Ethereal on L2tP user
we find that PPP session over L2TP tunnel not established
and we can see that in the attached 2 files.
