DTE X.25 DCE TCP/IP DCE X.25 DTE
Four routers form a network of X.25 Over TCP/IP. After configuration, it is found that DTE cannot ping to each other.
Change the configurations of DCE, and reconfigure the XOT route.
x25 xot pvc 9 188.8.131.52 interface serial 2/1 pvc 1
Execute Shutdown and Undo Shutdown commands at the relevant interface for a test, and both DTE devices can ping to each other.
Use display x25 vc command,
Check the VC of DTE X.25, and it is normal.
State: D1(flow control ready)
Check the VC of DCE X.25, and the one connecting to local X.25 is normal, but the one connecting to TCP/IP interface is not activated:
Check the configurations of DCE device, and it is found that the mapped port is not the one at opposite but the local when configuring XOT route.
x25 xot pvc 9 184.108.40.206 interface serial 3/0/2 pvc 1
When we configure the XOT route at DCE, it needs a mapping of local PVC number +IP address of the peer +interface number of peer +PVC number of the peer, so it is invalid if it is set to local interface number.
When your are configuring X.25 Over TCP/IP, pay attention to the meaning of parameters, particularly the XOT route of DCE. For more, see the attachment.
