We have NE40 router connected to two service providers we are using BGP as routing protocol between these two providers to advertise our public IP and to receive the routes.
these routers is used by 70000 suscribers, they cannot access Yahoo messenger and some web sites.
The solution is to upgrade the NE40 to NE80E because the capacity of the NE40 cannot meet the requirement it cannot hadle 200000 route.
but for temporary solution i denied all routes received by our provierds using route policy and i configure two default route to these two providers.
when i checked the numbers of routes in routing tables it's more than 200000 routes
when i used display ip rout ip-address of Messenger i can see the ip address of yahoo messenger in the routing table.
when configuring loopback interface with public ip address i cannot ping yahoo messenger using the loopback address as source ip address.
when i cheked the cpu of NE40 it's 20%.
when i checked the memory it's 73%.
Before to enable BGP we must think about the capacity of the router used
for internet its better to use NE80E.
