The Network Topology is attached for the reference.
In City A STM-1 has been patched between Huawei and Other Vendor Equipment to connect it with the Huawei and other vendor Equipment in CITY B and Logical connectivity has been made but HP_RDI and HP_UNEQ alarms appears on the port of STM-1 in CITY A at Huawei side and on the other vendor's side the Line Protocol was disabled.
HP_RDI and HP_UNEQ alarms in CITY A.
First check the physical connectivity between the Huawei and Other Vendor's Equipment by disconnecting the Patch cords from the equipment side but no abnormality found.
Give loop towards the other vendor's equipment and by doing so the above mentioned alarm disappears.
Then give loop towards the Other vendor's equipment from the point where a connectivity is established between CITY A and CITY has been B made and again alarms disappears which assures that there is no issue in CITY A with the Connectivity.
In City B same operations were perfromed and the Local connectivity found to be ok.
Check the Trail Trace from the NMS for the said connectivity but didn't get it.
So it was foiund that there was a cross patching at the point where CITY A connects with CITY B.
Local Connectivity at the either cities was ok.
As HP_RDI alarm is observed at the Huawei Port in CITY A so there was possibility that there is some problem in the Physical or Logical connectivity with the Other Vendor Equipment in CITY A.There was no alarm at the physical port of Huawei Equipment in CITY B.
HP_RDI alarm does not appears only in case of problem in local connectivity but it could be due to the problem in other city also.
