The AR28 connects the AR46 through 5-channel E1. 5-channel E1 interface and the MP interface are bound. After the device runs for a period, the MP interface changes from Up to Down in the fixed period of the daytime.
Each channel of the E1 interface reports Up/Down alarm and the MP interface also reports Up/Down alarm.
Configure the timer hold 0 command on each serial interface and MP-group not to send Keepalive packets.
Through the query of the NMS and device interfaces, the traffic on the MP interface exceeds 10 M when the problem occurs. That is, the traffic exceeds the throughput.
When the traffic is too heavy, Keepalive packets of the MP interface and E1 interface are congested. The peer cannot receive Keepalive packets, while the router defaults that Keepalive packets are sent every 10 seconds. If the router does not receive Keepalive packets of the peer within the specified period, the MP interface is Down automatically.
After the preceding configuration is complete, the MP interface and serial interface do not send and detect Keepalive packets to the peer. When the traffic is too heavy, the interface is not Up or Down because Keepalive packets are not received.
