The network consisting of the OptiX 155/622H(Metro1000) V3 was interconnected to the transport product of vendor A through the 1+1 linear MSP. The K2_M alarm was generated. The customer reflected that the switching was not affected and requested for the explanation for the alarm generation.
The attribute of Huawei linear MSP is 1+1 single-ended revertive mode. The vendor A also used the same attribute for the configuration.

1. The method of clearing K2_M alarm: Do not monitor K2_M. This alarm does not affect the services.
2. After the check again, confirm that the configuration of Vendor A is 1:1. After the correction, the alarm is cleared.
Through the returned k bytes, analyze the event:

The K byte received in the M1000V3 NE standby path is 0x0008. It indicates that the protection mode of the opposite linear MSP is 1:N. In the M1000V3, the configured linear MSP is 1+1. Hence, it reports the K2_M alarm.
For the linear MS, the bit5 of K2 byte is 1. It indicates the 1:N linear MSP.
