How to acquire the list of alarms and events of the NMS in Sybase?
1. Save all the explanations for all the NMS alarms and events reported by the access network host in tbl_AlarmCfg of FaultDB. The NMS queries tbl_AlarmCfg for the corresponding explanation according to the alarm ID. In the list, AlarmType = 0 is an event. Acquire the event list by using the following method:
isql -S -U -P -oEvent.txt (-s is followed by the master database name of Sybase, which is usually the N2000DBServer; -U and P are followed with Sybase user name and password; -o parameter indicates locating the order output in the file of Event.txt behind.)
SELECT *,* FROM FaultDB..tbl_AlarmCfg where AlarmType = 0
Acquire Event.txt from the current directory. See the attachment for details.
2. Part of AlarmType not equal to 0 are alarm. Procedures to acquire the alarm list are as follows:
isql -S -U -P -oAlarm.txt
SELECT *,* FROM FaultDB..tbl_AlarmCfg where AlarmType != 0
Acquire Alarm.txt from the current directory. See the attachment for details.
3. There are many items and contents in the list acquired from the previous two steps. You may omit the contents you are not interested in. For instance, only acquire all the events of the MA5600 equipment. Display the project: event id, event name, event explanation
isql -S -U -P -oMA5600_Event.txt
SELECT Alarmid,AlarmName, Meaning FROM FaultDB..tbl_AlarmCfg where (DevType = -65501)AlarmType != 0 (-65501is equipment type of MA5600)
Acquire MA5600_Event.txt from the current directory.
