All the NEs logout on NMS affecting the visibility of the Network. The network is mostly composed of OSN7500. If we start searching the NEs, lots of uncreated NEs with dupilcating NE IDs having subnet 8 are found on NMS.
When the ECC problem happens, we can find many non-existent NES(extended ID=8, but all the NEs on the network extended ID=9) in ecc route table.
We can using following command to reduce the problem happened probability:
:cm-set-maxdist:**;//select a suitable number, for example, you can query the maxdist when network is stable, if it is 9, you can set maxdist=15.
We were facing ECC problems in the network during last several months. After analyzing the data, it was concluded that the problem is caused by OSN7500 hardware. Optix OSN7500 has some Hardware design problem which causes problems on NMS by duplicating the NE IDs with subnet 8 increasing the eccroutes of the NEs causing congestion in the eccroutes due to which most of the network logout on NMS.
1. please suggest customer to divide whole network into small ecc sub-network;
2. close extended ecc between osn and DWDM if enabled.
3. close ECC of all unused optical port
