During the Ethernet interconnection test between Huawei and Company A, the both elements have the alarms about GFP.
Huawei Equipment and Version: OSN 2500, 184.108.40.206P02, SSN1EFS4
Company A: 1660 Board - ISA ES 4 8 FE ver. 1.02.65
About the GFP parameters:
For comany A board, there only has FCS setting which we can find in our board parameters through T2000. Field disabled it.
For Huawei board,there are X43+1, No FCS, Big Endian, No extended header.
Both sides' LCAS is disabled.
Compay A ETH board : GFP TSF
Huawei EFS4 : VCTRUNK port, ALM_GFP_dLFD
According the above analysis, the problem can caused by the special requirement of company A Ethernet board about the LCAS when using VC.
Then field tried to enable the LCAS on both sides and the interconnection was successfully. The GFP parameters is same as before.
The ALM_GFP_dLFD of our board means the VCG members has problem (uplink and downlink is not same or there have errors in members). But field didn't find VC12 error information from the performance check. The only reason can be VCG members indication. But field bound only one VC12.
Through the discussion with customer, field knew that company A can interconnect with company N succesfully. And field found both sides enable LCAS.
We know that the VC-12 VCG uses K4 to indicate the members information, and LCAS also use K4 too.
According the normal interconnection way, field disabled the LCAS because it is not necessary by default.
During the Ethernet interconnection test with company A, if field finds there has GFP TSF on company A and ALM_GFP_dLFD on Huawei side, please try to enable the LCAS.
