Handling Process
1. Demount the directory after you make sure that no process is using the directory or any file under the directory.
Run fuser -c "name of mounted directory". If any process is using the mounted directory, stop the process first.
If no result is displayed, it means that you can demount the directory.
eg: umount /export/home0
2. Modify the vfstab table. Add one “#” before the record entry of the directory.
For example:
#/dev/dsk/c1t1d0s7 /dev/rdsk/c1t1d0s7 /export/home0 ufs 2
yes -
3. Verify the validity of the modified /etc/vfstab directory.
root@N2000Primary # mountall -l
mount: /tmp is already mounted or swap is busy
mount: /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s3 is already mounted or /opt is busy
mount: /dev/dsk/c1t0d0s6 is already mounted or /export/home is busy
4. Format the disk.
