The SoftX3000 can ping the IP address of the WAN port on the HG850e but the VoIP LED is not on.
1. The packet capture on the mirroring port of the uplink port on the MA5680T shows that the SIP information is already sent from the HG850e but the SoftX3000 responds with a message that the ICMP port is unreachable. The comparison between the HG850e and the SoftX3000 shows that the configurations for the destination port on the HG850e and the SoftX3000 are different from each other. After the configuration of the HG850e is modified, the status LED of the VoIP port is normal and the phone service is normal.
1. Because the SoftX3000 can ping the IP address of the WAN port on the HG850e, it can be determined that this problem is not caused by the layer 3 problem. That is, the configuration on the MA5680T is proper.
2. After the dialup software is installed on a PC, the PC can interconnect with the SoftX3000. Therefore, it can be determined that this problem is not caused by the improper data configuration of the SoftX3000.
3. In this case, the problem must rest at layer 4 or an upper layer. That is, the problem rests in the UDP packet and the SIP signaling.
