One day, the customer configured the LPT for the EFT board on the T2000, the system reported the LPT_INEFFET alarm. The version of the Metro100 was V1R3CO2BO11.
The engineers found out that the software version of the Metro100 host was V1R3CO2BO11; however, only the V1R3CO2 and later version of Metro100 hosts supported the LPT.
The engineers checked the software version of the PCB of the Metro100, and the version was SS91IUP VER.A.
From version SS91IUC VER.C, the major chips of the Metro100 were replaced, and the Metro100 started to support the LPT function.
The version of the hardware was too old. The LPT function was not supported in VER.A.
The LPT_INEFFECT was an alarm on the LPT function failure. If the LPT is configured and the board does not support the LPT function, this alarm is raised. This alarm does not affect the services. If the software of the board is too old, the software automatically stops the running of the LPT protocol state machine and stores the LPT configuration.
For NG-SDH products, the SSR1EFT4 board supports the LPT if the PCB is of version B or later versions; the SSN1EFT8/SSN1EFT8A board supports the LPT if the PCB is of version C or later versions. These new versions of boards have new chips. The chips in the old version cannot support the LPT function.
