Issue Description

During an on-site test on the interaction between the NE40 port and the NMS at a site, it was found that whether the physical port was Down or Up was recorded in the log, but such information could not be viewed on the NMS.
Equipment version: VRP (R) software, Version 3.10, RELEASE 2351

Handling Process

View the trap message of the equipment. It is found that, in the same period, the up/down information of the ports is recorded in the log, but cannot be found in the trapbuffer.
Checking the version feature, you can find that the VRP3.10 version and earlier VRP5.30 platforms do not support the trap message on the up/down status of physical links. You can only view the up/down status of the protocols. This, however, will not affect the use of services.
After the equipment is upgraded to V300R002C01B591 or later, the up/down information of physical ports can be sent to the NMS.

Root Cause

The VRP3.10 version and earlier VRP5.30 platforms do not support the trap message on the up/down status of physical links. For the up/down information of physical links, no trap message is sent. Only the up/down information of physical ports is recorded. However, the up/down information of the link protocols is recorded in the trap message and can be detected by the NMS.
