In the case of client-sie 1+1 protection involving multiple subracks, the switching status is "manual switch to the protection” before reset of the SCC and may change to IDLE after reset of the SCC.
Clear the external switching status of the protection group before the reset of the SCC board.
After the reset of the SCC board, the protocol of cross-subrack client-side 1+1 protection restarts as follows:
1. Initialize the status of the working and protection channels to IN_SF, and open the active and standby lasers.
2. The working channel reports the IN_SF event. As the protection channel is still in the IN_SF state, the working channel has a better status than the protection channel. Thus the active laser is enabled and the standby laser is shut down. This performance triggers the status change of control units (the DCP/OLP boards).
3. The protection channel reports the IN_NORMAL event and the working channel is in the same status. So the standby laser is enabled.
After the above process, the former status changes to IDLE.
