The NE80E Cannot Be Started After the Degradation to V300R001 Because of the Differential Identification of the CF Card by the MPUB

Publication Date:  2012-07-27 Views:  61 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
The NE80E used the MPUB with one built-in CF card and one external CF card. The delivery version was V300R002 and V300R001 was used in deploying a network. After BootROM of the MPUB was upgraded and restarted, version files could not be found and the device could not be started.
Alarm Information
Handling Process
The device could be started normally after the built-in and external CF cards were exchanged.
Root Cause

When the MPUB of the NE80E uses V300R002, "CFCARD" displayed on the device is a built-in CF card and "CFCARD2" is an external CF card. BootROM of the MPUB that is degraded to V300R001 only identified external CF cards. "CFCARD" of the startup path is an external CF card and version files are put in the built-in CF card before the degradation, and therefore, version files cannot be found.

In deploying a network with the NE80E, if the delivery version was V300R002 and V300R001 was used in deploying the network, you need to copy version files to "CFCARD2" at the time of degradation.
