After the installation and loading process of the NE80E router, two of three SFU boards didn’t load successfully and the router was showing continuous synchronization alarms related with boards clock (sync CLK alarms). Why only one SFU board load successfully and the others didn’t do it?
Regularly the NE80E router works with four SFU boards but it can work with a minimal of three SFU boards. SFU boards are located in slots number 19, 20, 21 and 22. When the router was turned on, the three SFU boards were located in slots number 19, 20 and 21; only the board located in slot number 21 was registered. To get the three SFU boards load correctly, the boards must be located in slots number 20, 21 and 22 and left slot number 19 empty.
When you use the NE80E router with only three SFU boards, those boards must be located in slots number 20, 21 and 22.
