The ALS configurations on the board at the two ends are inconsistent. The board has no abnormal alarm and performance event, and the services are normal. If this problem recurs, if you use the optical power meter to test the optical power of the WDM side connected to the meter, the input power is �17 dB. After you consult the experts, it is determined that the optical power is caused by factors such as noise, which belongs to residual optical power. According to the current product specifications, it is determined that optical power is input, and thus the laser at the transmit end is not shut down. Replace the 5 dB fixed attenuator at the local end to a 7 dB fixed attenuator. In this case, the test is successful.
The ALS functions of the boards at the two ends are different. The possible causes may be as follows:
1. The ALS configurations at the boards of the two ends are faulty.
2. The boards are faulty.
3. It is the implementation specification of the ALS of the product.
During the test and deployment of the WDM product, you should pay attention to the residual optical power caused by factors such as noise.
