In information about the status of the BGP peer of the NE40E, "no neg" indicates that the peer device is incapable of negotiating with the local device for the peers. For example, the IPv4 BGP neighborship was set up between two NE40Es. If one of the NE40Es is configured with the VPNv4 peer, but the other is not, the status of the VPNv4 peer is displayed as no neg as follows on the NE40E where the VPNv4 peer is configured:
