Issue Description

Networking: MA5620E--softswitch of company Z
Version: SmartAX MA5600 V800R305C01B011HP0001
Symptom: The MA5620E is connected to the softswitch of company Z. After the VoIP service and CID service are provided, no ring tone can be heard and no CID information is displayed when a user receives a phone call.

Handling Process

1. Trace H248 packets. According to the signaling, the CID signaling delivered by the softswitch of company Z does not conform to the SG:andisp/dwa package in the CID standard of China Telecom. The CID package of company Z is fsk/fsk{d="2008-05-20",t="14:44:17",c="8919000"}.
2. Ask company Z to change the CID package to the standard andisp/dwa package of China Telecom. As a result, the CID service and ring tone return to normal, and the problem is solved. 

Root Cause

The format of the CID package of company Z is not standard. 


The feature of the softswitch of company Z is that the configuration is flexible. Many options can be chosen. Therefore, exercise cautions when interconnecting a device to the softswitch of company Z.
