Export of the NetStream Statistics Packets Failed Because the Ethernet Interface on the MPU Acted as the Outbound Interface

Publication Date:  2012-07-27 Views:  4 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
At a site, after the NetStream function was enabled on the NE80E, the collected traffic volume could not be exported to the server. Checking the cache, the engineer found the packets. Checking the export statistics, the engineer found that all UDP packets failed to be exported. For details, see the following:
[Quidway]disp ip netstream cache
The total records in cache is 70.

Stream source IP:
Exported stream number: 6811964
Exported UDP datagram number: 227088 failed number:227088 // All UDP packets failed to be exported.

Alarm Information
Handling Process
1. Checking the configuration, the engineer found no problem.
2. Checking the debug information of UDP, the engineer found no information exported.
3. The engineer checked the routes as follows:
<Quidway>dis fib
Route Entry Count: 1
Destination/Mask   Nexthop         Flag TimeStamp     Interface       TunnelID   GSU  t[1456811]    GE0/0/0         0x0 is the IP address of the server.
4. The engineer changed the routing and interconnection modes, making the interface on an LPU the outbound interface. Then the NetStream statistics packets could be successfully exported.
5. After consulting the R&D personnel, the engineer learned that V300R002 did not support the export of NetStream packets through the Ethernet interface on the MPU, but V300R001 did.

Root Cause
1. Wrong configuration
2. Problem with the NE80E
