Issue Description

In an OSN 6800 project, the PIU board mistakenly reports the POWERFAIL alarm. To solve the problem, the customer upgrades the equipment from to After the upgrade is complete, the Toolkit loading interface indicates activated and uncommitted and the NE reports the SWDL_INPROCESS alarm.

Alarm Information

Handling Process

Manually delete the SDWL_INPROCESS alarm and then again check the alarms of the board, or eliminate this alarm by performing a warm reset on the SCC board.

Root Cause

If the SWDL_INPROCESS alarm is reported after the OSN 6800 is upgraded, it indicates that the software package is being loaded. A new package loading feature is added in versions later than R3, that is, the loaded package is not submitted until 24 hours after the software package is loaded. As a result, the SWDL_INPROCESS alarm is reported.
Before the upgrade, check the version of the software package. If the version is correct, you can run the :patchpkg-set-time:3,1; command to change the wait-to-submit time, which is set to 24 hours by default. In this command, parameter 1 indicates one second, that is, the loaded package is submitted one second after the package is successfully loaded. Then, the SDWL_INPROCESS alarm immediately disappears. If you run this command after the upgrade, however, the SDWL_INPROCESS alarm does not disappear until 24 hours later.

Delete the SDWL_INPROCESS alarm after the equipment is successfully upgraded.
