The customer configured the LOG cards as SW SNCP protection on OSN6800. And they made a software inloop at the other end of the SW SNCP protection client. But during the test, the analyzer show the protection switch failure.
After we finish configured the SW SNCP protection, we make a software inloop in the other client side, the analyzer showed it works. Then we made a non-loop in the client side, then switch to protection channel, made the inloop in client side again. It also works. But this method couldn't test the switching time. The best way is using physical loop.
We checked all the configuration of the NE. we tried end to end trail creation and per NE configuration, but it doesn't work. We tried it without protection, it works. We discussed with RND guys, they said that the LOG card don't support the broadcast scene client loop back. They suggest:
1, Switch the protection firstly, then test the channel by the client side inloop.
2, Make a physical loop back by fiber to test.
Use physical loop back during the test in some muti ports cards like LOG.
