OSN3500V1R8C01B01c. The customer NGSDH topology as attached. They are a TV Operator. They want to make a broadcast to every site from the main site NE1. Every site has configured a EGS2 card. The service configured as EPLAN service. When they put the service on the equipment, the service was unavailable. We found that the ring caused the service unavailable. After we enable the RSTP in NE1 or NE2, the service is normal but there is no protection. When we enable the RSTP in more than one sites, the service unavailable.
1, We change the priority of the VB in every site. The testing is successful. But the problem is that the Network is more that 20 nodes but the priority just have 15.
2, Use OPTP command to modify the MAC address. After the board reset, the MAC is generated in the board. Configure with the priority, they can manage the network perfectly.

We sent the MO to RND, they found that all the configuration are all right. And they made a mirror like the network, but it works well. They collected all the NE information by script, they fond that during the testing, the port status of RSTP was abnormal. After deep analysis, they found that the MAC address of all the NEs are the same and the priority of all the VB are the same. The RSTP protocol can not find the root tree and the destination.
The RSTP protocol depend on the MAC address and priority of the board (VB). The RSTP protection must configure the MAC or the VB priority to find out the root of the tree.
