Failure to Log In To the Loopback Address After the NE80 Is Upgraded to NE40&80 V300R005C01B322

Publication Date:  2012-07-27 Views:  68 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
After the NE80 is upgraded to NE40&80 V300R005C01B322, the user cannot log in to the Loopback address of the NE80. The mask of the Loopback address consists of 32 bits.
Alarm Information
Unknown host or wrong IP address!
Handling Process
 1. Workarounds:
2. Upgrade the NE80 to V3R5C01B360 or a later version.
3. Change the configuration of the Loopback interface, and modify the mask length.
Root Cause
 1. Problem of software implementation mechanism: In NE40&80 V300R005C01B322, the Telnet client imposes restrictions on the destination and Telnet broadcast addresses are restricted. The 32-bit IP address mask is mistaken for a broadcast address.
2. This problem is rectified in V3R5C01B360 and later versions, and the 32-bit mask is not judged.
Services are not affected. This problem does not need to be evaded without strong requirements of users.
