Issue Description

We need to bind the ONT VAS (value-added services) profile through BMS but the system generates an error: FTP server not found.
BMS version: V200R011C03B036SPC003
MA5600T Version:MA5600V800R005C33B118

Alarm Information

FTP server not found

Handling Process

Because we are short on good documentation we tried different things to solve the issue. First we installed FTP server on one of the client machines. Then we discovered that the system is looking for a file that doesn't exist in the FTP server.
We realized that the XML file that the system is searching for is located in the real server. After we made sure that the FTP is running, we configured in ONT task list the IP address of file server to be the Solaris server. In this way binding the VAS profile succeeded.  For more details you can find attached a small screenshot guide <<VAS.doc>>.

Root Cause

The FTP server has to be set to be the Solaris Server (Windows Server if you use Windows platform) and the FTP must be started.
