How do the OLT, MxU, and ONT support the fiber cut alarm and the power-off alarm?
1、 The OLT detects fiber cut and the ONU detects power-off.
That is, the ONU detects power-off and reports an alarm.
2. Alarm support
Power-off alarm ONU dying-gasp alarm is determined by the ONU type. The OLT reports this alarm reported by the ONU.
Serving as an MDU, the MA5606T cannot report this alarm.
Fiber cut alarm loss of signal (LOS) is reported when the backbone optical fiber is broken.
loss of signal of ONTi (LOSi) indicates that the branch optical fiber is broken. This alarm report is not supported by EPBA of R105 but is supported by R62.
1. MxUs of R305 and R306 support the dying gasp alarm.
2. The OT928G and OT925E support the dying-gasp alarm. The OT925G reports the dying gasp alarm in PLOAM messages. OLT R62 does not support PLOAM messages but R52 support these messages.
ONT: Uses the latest commercial release.
EPON: Currently, all the EPON ONTs (such as HG810e, HG813e, HG850e, and HG866e) in the EchoLife HG series of commercial release support the dying gasp alarm, because this alarm is required by CTC.
GPON: All the GPON ONTs in the EchoLife HG series support this alarm.
