Service Configuration Fails Because the Service Capacity Is Incorrectly Set During Manual NE Configuration on the NMS

Publication Date:  2012-07-25 Views:  142 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

The OptiX OSN 8000 master subrack has four OptiX OSN 6800 slave subracks and one OptiX OSN 8800 slave subrack. Configure the service at the ODU2 level between the TQX and the NQ2 on the master subrack. The configuration is successful.

When the same method is used to configure the service on a slave subrack, an error message is displayed, indicating a license service type error, with the error code of 43886. The SCC version is and the NMS version is T2000 V200R007C03.

Alarm Information

License service type error; error code: 43886.

Handling Process

1. The configuration of the service on the master subrack is normal. Therefore, the operations on NMS are correct.
2. Try to use commands to configure the service on a slave subrack on site. The commands are successfully delivered and no error message is displayed. Therefore, it can be determined that the problem is related to the NMS.
3. Check the data at the NMS side. It is found that the service capacity of the NE subrack is inconsistent with that of other OptiX OSN 8800 NEs. Delete the NE and create an NE again. During manual configuration, set the service capacity to 1.28T. Then, configuring services on the slave subracks on the NMS can be successful.

Root Cause

The service capacity of the master subrack is incorrectly set on the NMS.

The service capacity of the master subrack of the OptiX OSN 8800 is 1.28T. The service capacity need not be set on the NMS. Setting the service capacity on the NMS causes failure of service configuration. It is recommended to delete this function on the NMS.
