The U2000 V100R002C00SPC001 is installed on a computer installed with Solaris 10 in a project. A message is displayed indicating that communication port 12212, 12213, 12214, or 12215 is used when the U2000 is installed. As a result, the U2000 fails to be installed. You can see the attachment for the message.
The communication port (12212, 12213, 12214, or 12215) of the installation framework is used.
1. Run the following command to check whether a communication port is used:
#pfiles * > /aaa
Query the process names of ports in the aaa.txt file.
#ps ef|grep process name (This command is executed to obtain the process ID.)
2. Run the following command to forcibly kill the application process:
#kill -9 process ID
3. Execute the installation script of the U2000 again to further install the U2000.
The U2000 has been installed on the computer previously. When the U2000 is uninstalled by deleting relevant directories, only the U2000 and Sybase database are uninstalled but the NMS maintenance suite is not uninstalled. As a result, communication port 12212 is occupied by the NMS maintenance suite when the U2000 is installed again.
