This topic describes the NE user account and rights.
NE User Name
The NE user name is also known as the NE user account. It consists of 6-15 characters which are not case sensitive.
An NE user name is unique on a device.
By default, an NE has a super user named root.
NE User Password
The NE user password consists of 1-15 characters, and the password is case sensitive.
The initial password of the superuser root of the MDU devices (including the MA5620E, MA5626E, MA5620G, MA5626G, MA5651G, MA5620, MA5626, MA5651, MA5652G, MA5610, MA5616, ATN930, MA5635, MA5612, MA5603U, and MA5662) is mduadmin. The initial password of the superuser admin of the SRG2220 is admin@123. The initial password of the superuser root of other NEs is admin. For the security, it is recommended that you change the password in the case of the first login.
The N2000 BMS administrator can modify the passwords of all NE users. Other N2000 BMS users at lower levels change the password of other users of only the NEs to which these N2000 BMS users belong.
NE User Level
NE users are classified into the following four levels:
Super user: The super user is at the highest level. The superuser can perform all operations on NEs, and manage users of lower levels, such as administrators, private users, and operators.
Administrator: An administrator can perform all the operations of users at the lower levels. The administrator also manages the NEs, user accounts, operation rights and management rights.
Operator: An operator can configure NEs and services.
Private user: A private user can perform basic operations, such as querying operation.
