one day we need replace a standby SCC board in a OSN6800 equiment.
sofe version of euqipment is V100R004C04SPC800.SCC type is TN51SCC.
we consult the Parts Replacement Guide ,first we use jumpers to erase thenew SCC database in the flash memory. wait for 15 minutes,after the new SCC board is
started, remove it. In addition, remove the jumper caps.then re-insert this SCC board to the slot.
the Parts Replacement Guide shows it will take 25 minutes for a new board to work normally after insertion.but we wait for about 35 minutes, the new SCC board
still doesn't work.
then we try again and wait for a long time ,after 55 minutes the standby SCC work normally. then we check the version and find that the basic BIOS VERSION is
different between the two SCC ,standby SCC basic BIOS VERSION is 8.21.41,and the master SCC basic BIOS VERSION 8.21.37
We asked R&D about this question ,here is their reply: If the basic BIOS of master SCC is higher than that of new standby SCC or the same with the new standby
SCC ,the new standby SCC can work normally in 30 minutes.if the basic BIOS of master is lower than that of the new standby SCC .it will take more than 50
minutes to synchronize data with master SCC and work normally.
