SNMP Process cannot start in U2000. When trying to start the process using sysmonitor interface, the process do not start and the system shows an error message.
Starting the process failed
The process has been stopped abnormally.
1. Log in the MSuite client. The user and password by defect is “admin”
2. On the NMS Maintenance Tools client, choose NBI > Configure the SNMP interface instance from the Main Menu. The dialog box is displayed.
3. Click the advanced tab.
4. In the option Third party, delete the unnecessary configuration
5. Exit the MSuite Client
6. Restart the NMS processes
The process could not start because there was not a proper configuration in the SNMP Agent adn the third party address of the OSS that receives the traps. Double ip configuration was being used to send different types of traps (v1 and v2c). This condition is redundant.
The way to see this condition was by logging in the MSUite and se the tabs in the third party NMS. Just one type of traps (v1 or V2c) for one only IP.
They other was is to see the snmpagent file located on /U2000/server/conf/snmpagent.cfg
This configuration generated a conflict with the Agent and the process could not start.
Be aware and do not use the same OSS ip address to send two different types of traps version.
