Q: How to change synchronization protocol from FTP to SNMP?
BMS V200R012C05SP030 Windows platform.
We can edit in the database to change synchronization protocol from FTP to SNMP which is working already, it is done per devicetype.
1. execute the command as follow in CMD:
>isql -Usa -Pxxxxxx
>update BMSDB..bms_gdm_ResVersionTab set operateid = 1016 where devtype = xyz and operateid = 16
xyz: devtype value for required device.
To get devtype for required device, use:
>select * from BMSDB..bms_gdm_ResVersionTab
The output contains list of all devices at the network, devtype will be the same for all similar devices, i.e. All UA5000 devices will have same devtype.
2. Restart the device manager process.
A: By default FTP protocol is used for synchronization process between device and BMS, Sometimes because of network security, FTP protocol is not permitted through network, also sometimes FTP has some problem, so synchronization always fails.
