How does an MxU process IGMP packets by default?
In MxU R305, the IGMP mode can be set in BTV mode. The default mode is snooping. In snooping mode, IGMP packets are captured and transmitted to the CPU by default. If the corresponding port is not added to the MVLAN, the IGMP packets will be dropped. You can run the display igmp config global command in BTV mode to query the status of the IGMP mode.
In versions later than MxU R306, the IGMP mode is set in MVLAN mode. The MVLAN is not set in the system by default. That is, IGMP packets are not captured and transmitted to the CPU. When an MVLAN is created, the corresponding IGMP mode is off. You can run the display igmp config vlan command in MVLAN mode to query the status of the IGMP mode.
