FAQ-Basic BIOS doesn't match with version matching table is normal or not

Publication Date:  2012-07-25 Views:  101 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

One day ,we want to upgrade an OSN6800 equipment from V100R003C02B01e to V100R004C04SPC800 ,the SCC type is TN11SCC .we check the  original host software  information and find the basic BIOS is 8.21.03,but  in the version matching table of  V100R004C04SPC800 it shows 8.20.36/8.20.35. As we all know  ,  we can’t upgrade the basic  BIOS in NG-WDM equipment . It means after we upgrade the OSN6800 to V100R004C04SPC800, the  BIOS   won’t match with the version matching table ,is it normal?

Alarm Information

Handling Process

No   problem  .  Because basic BIOS is used to lead the EXT-BIOS  ,  and EXT-BIOS   is used to lead host program . if the EXT-BIOS can start normally ,it means the BIOS works normally . It is not necessary that BIOS version strictly match with the version matching table  .In the version matching table , the BIOS version is a recommendatory  value . However, EXT-BIOS and host software must match exactly.
