DSG process for ENS is displayed not ready due to remote IP address set incorrectly

Publication Date:  2012-08-06 Views:  95 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
After the configuration is completed for ENS, all its processes are normal from the device panel except that the DSG process is displayed “not ready”. Run the command “DSP MODULE”on the OMU client and the DSG process is normal.
Alarm Information
Handling Process
Check the remote data configuration via “LST RIPADDR”, and find that the remote IP address is not the one that is planned originally. Run the command “MOD RIPADDR” to correct it, and DSG process become active on the device panel.
Root Cause
On OMU client, run “DSP MODULE”and DSG process is normal, which means the module has initialized and been loaded successfully. However, the “not ready” status on device panel indicates that the module can not provide the normal function.
Run “DSP DSGSCTP”and find that the link between FE and BE is inactive, which means that FE and BE can not communicate normally.
When the module is in the status of “not ready”, maybe there is something wrong with the module itself, but also it is possible that the link for the module is not configured correctly. Please make sure the data is matched for the two parties when setting up the link.
