Much inconsistent NE data exists in the live network. This affects customer experience and may cause slot conflicts during service configuration. After data synchronization for asynchronous NEs, data of 60 NEs is still inconsistent each day. Within a week, data inconsistency occurs on over 100 NEs.
After the latest test patch is installed on the live network, synchronization tests are performed in the labs of Vodafone India. It is found that data inconsistency occurs on no more than 10 NEs (20% of the original quantity) within the past 24 hours. The causes of data inconsistency in the lab tests are as follows:
Embedded control channel (ECC) packet loss due to optical trail faults;
Event queue wrapping due to the poor performance of the control board.
