FAQ-High memory usage after shutdown NMS server on PC

Issue Description

You cant find this on the product document !!!
Usually after you close the U2000 server using shutdown NMS
Method is:
  1. open “ U2000 System Monitor” .
  2. press on Administration.
  3. Shut Down NMS.

 after you close the server you may find that your pc still slowly and when you open you task manager you will find these two processes working and whe you try to kill "end " these process you it will re-start work again.

so how can you stop these processes :

Handling Process

first of all these two process are :
  1. sqlserver.exe
  2. msserver.exe
To stop sqlserver.exe process Right click on the taskbar of you computer

Press on MSSQLServer – Stop
Then short message will appear to confirm your choice press on “ Yes”

Then the sqlserver.exe will be closed.

Note that when you want to start U2000 server again you need to right click again on SQL Server Service Manager again and press MSSQLServer – Start

Now to close msserver.exe you need to go to this directory “C:\HWENGR\engineering”
Then open “stopserver”

Then this process will stop.

NOTE: No nee to open this process before start U2000 next time.
