Q: How to find some fix-ip-users on bras and differentiate between them and between dynamic users ? and What's the difference between MA5200G and ME60
please first notice that :
for normal (dynamic) users, they get ip address from ip-pools of bras,
for fix-ip users, they get ip from radius-server using radius attribute: framed-ip-address )
also please notice that: the operator didn't differentiate between the 2 types of users neither by user-group neither by domain! so they use the same domain and same user-group !
Here is the method for each Huawei BRAS:
1) on MA5200G:
first method (simple):
make display ip routing vpn adsl and check:
the fix-ip-users that get ip from radius are like this:
display ip routing-table vpn-instance h_ie protocol direct
22.214.171.124/32 direct 0 0 d 126.96.36.199 virtual-template1
so the only routes that have the outgoing interface as "virtual-template" so they are get ip from radius, also note that the route is /32, and note that the other normal users route type is "unr" not "direct"
second method (very tough, because pools can be complex and big, and routing table can be big):
check the ip-address, and compare with all the ip-pools of the bras, if it didn't belong to those ip-pools , it means it's a fix-ip susbsriber
2) on ME60
on ME60, the route types and also outgoing-interface is the same for both kind of users (unr), so the remaining method to know if one suscriber is fix or dynamic is to make "trace object", and then watch the radius-attributes received in authentication phase, if it contains framed-ip it means it's dynamic users.
The other method is like the second method of 1).
