In a new network, we have the folowing topology in TX part of the OTM staton: (Check Fig 1). As you can see we have the folowing boards in the OMS section: HBA, TN13FIU02, CRPC03. this is for long distance such us 220Km.
In OSN6800, when we have in TX part: FIU, CRPC03 and HBA boards, Customer ask Why SYS port in CRPC03 board has LC connector and the other ports of board use LSH/APC connector.
-Check the Maximun total power value that can support the HBA board is 26dBm. According to specifications.
-when pass FIU, it will go down to 23db
-It means the highest input power of the SYS port in RPC is 23dbm. R&D says it is OK to use LC connector with 23dbm. Also if we checked some providers says that Maximun incident optical power for this type of connector is 25dBm.
Normally HBA, TN13FIU02 and CRPC03 boards handle high power, so due the low reflectance and good anti -dust capability Huawei use LSH/APC connector (also called E2000).
for CRPC03 board despite has a high power the SYS port use LC connector.
Finally GTAC says that in this point the total optical power will be around 23dB, so LC connector can work woithout problems.
Despite LC connector in this topology can support high optical power value, we need to check the conection between the LC connector and path cord with Microscope in order to avoid dust or inner damaged. so we can guaranntee a good performance in the network.
