The UTM overload protection is enabled by default. When the USG5300 devices runs in UTM mode, you can run the utm bypass enable command to enable UTM overload protection for service priority. When the traffic of the UTM module exceeds the processing capability of the module, the excessive traffic is directly allowed through without being checked by the UTM function. The traffic allowed through may contain threats. When the traffic of the UTM module becomes normal again, all the traffic must go through the UTM check.
When UTM overload protection is disabled, the firewall takes security as the first priority. Specifically, the USG5300 discards the excessive traffic to prevent threats.
