The RAID Group Initialization Fails Due to Disk Faults

Issue Description

Related information about the product and version: CSS V100R001C01 Database Volume.
On the ISM interface , the 0xB0216000F A RAID group initialization failed alarm is reported.

Alarm Information


Handling Process

Step 1     Replace the hard disk.

                               Step 2     Log in on the maintenance terminal to the alarm device as the root user.

                               Step 3     Run the Megacli64  -LDInit -Start -Full -lx -aall command to restart the initialization of the RAID group. Full indicates that the initialization process is in the foreground, x specifies the virtual drive number for the command.

                               Step 4     Check whether the 0xB0216000F A RAID group initialization failed alarm disappears from the ISM interface.

l   If yes, the fault is removed.

l   If no, contact technical support engineers.


Root Cause

On the ISM interface, the alarm listed in Table 1-7 is reported.

Check the disk online indicator according to the alarm information. The indicator is red. Therefore, the fault is caused by a damaged hard disk.
