Login Anomaly of User Master to the N8000 Engine

Issue Description

In an N8000 office, after the system is installed on the NAS engine server, the user cannot log in to the console as user master on the ISM. However, user support can use the su - master command to switch to user master, or you can log in as user master using KVM.

Handling Process

Locate the /etc/security/access.conf file on each node of the NAS cluster, and comment the last two lines with #.
##-:master:All EXCEPT LOCAL
The fault is rectified.

Root Cause

Check the /etc/security/access.conf login configuration file. It is found that the last two lines shield the remote login function of user master.

The engine server of the N8000 comes preinstalled with the operating system and NAS system software. However, certain configurations requires modifying.
