The Windows Advanced 2000 Server client uses \\184.108.40.206\fs01
to access file system fs01
. The following symptoms occur:
Symptom 1: The message indicating \\220.127.116.11\fs01
cannot be accessed, configuration information fails to be read from the domain controller, the host is unusable, or access is denied is displayed.
Symptom 2: When the correct user name user
and password user
are entered, the dialog box challenging for the user name and password is still displayed and the Password
text box is empty.
In Windows Advanced 2000 Server, run the \\18.104.22.168\_fs01$
command to access file system fs01
Clients with different operating systems use their own commands to access the file system. The command for the clients with Windows Advanced 2000 Server needs to add an underscore (_) to the file system name. For example, in Windows 2003 Server or Windows XP, use \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\filesystemName
to access a CIFS file system. In Windows Advanced 2000 Server, the command needs to be changed to \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\_filesystemName$
