Issue Description

On a deployment site, the newly added disks can be recognized in the disk drive of the client device manager, but the disks cannot be discovered in Disk Management and a handle error is generated. The client runs the Windows 2000 standard version OS.

Handling Process

Restart the client and check whether disks can be discovered in Disk Management. If the fault persists, restart the storage system, and remove and insert the network cable of the client. In this way, the fault is rectified.

This fault is often caused by the client problems. The information mapped from disks is not refreshed in time, causing that disks cannot be managed.
